A vital part of the application process for any job is to do a web search on yourself, according to Interview Guru. “More and more organisations now search Google for information on potential candidates before deciding whether to make them a job offer,” said Interview Guru director James Luckhurst. Additionally, 35% admitted they eliminated a candidate because of what they found online – a 9% increase on the previous year’s survey.
